i made it! i'm finally in spain. i arrived a few days ago (three? four?? the days seem to all blend together), and have had a great few days so far. i'm currently in madrid with ben & his college buddy kevin and it's been great. i haven't done too much exploring, but have had a lot of fun walking around, laughing (a lot), and eating some really good döner kebabs (which are either turkish or greek, depending if you ask ben or kevin).
so far we've had a lot of late nights, including staying up to watch the national championship and the nfl playoffs. i don't think i've gone to bed before 6:00 a.m. once since i arrived. needless to say, that combined with the whole time zone switch-a-roo, my body hates me. so with that i'm going to take a nap.
i leave madrid for zaragoza on wednesday, so i'll update more once i'm settled and what not, but for now i wanted to at least let everyone know that i'm alive and doing very well.
